DIY Botanical Body Wash with Lavender, Frankincense & Geranium

Pure Intox | DIY Botanical Rituals

Easy DIY Botanical Body Wash

Give your everyday shower a botanical touch with liquid Castile soap, vegetable glycerin, and jojoba oil. This simple, unscented recipe is a lovely starting point for exploring DIY bath and body care.

Beginner | About 10 minutes | Small batch

What You'll Need

Ingredient Amount
Unscented Liquid Castile Soap 115 mL
Vegetable Glycerin 3 mL
Organic Jojoba Oil 1 mL

You'll also need a clean measuring cup, a stirrer, a funnel, and a clean pump bottle. The ingredients make approximately 119 mL, so an 8 oz bottle leaves comfortable headspace.

Make Your Body Wash

  1. Clean and dry your tools and bottle.
  2. Pour 115 mL of unscented liquid Castile soap into a mixing cup.
  3. Add 3 mL of vegetable glycerin and stir slowly.
  4. Add 1 mL of jojoba oil and gently mix. A little separation is possible because oil does not fully blend into soap.
  5. Transfer to your bottle, close it, and label it with the preparation date.

Simple tip: Make a small amount, watch for changes in texture or odor, and do not use if the mixture separates noticeably or seems unusual. For the most predictable result, use the Castile soap on its own, following its original label directions.

Lavender, Frankincense & Geranium Aroma Inspiration

Love a floral, gently resinous scent? Try smelling this combination on separate scent strips or in a suitable diffuser:

Important: This is a separate aroma idea, not an addition to the body wash. Essential oils do not mix evenly into Castile soap simply by stirring.

How to Use

Apply a small amount to wet hands or a washcloth, gently cleanse, and rinse well. Avoid the eyes and irritated skin. Stop using if irritation occurs. Keep the mixture away from children and pets, and do not make large batches for storage.
