Plant-Derived Humectant · Skincare & Formulation
A versatile plant-derived humectant used to help attract and retain moisture within skincare, body-care, cleansing, bath, and DIY formulations. Organic Vegetable Glycerin is a staple ingredient for facial mists, toners, body sprays, cleansers, lotions, bath products, and countless botanical creations.
Clear, smooth, and naturally viscous, glycerin helps improve the conditioned feel of many water-based products when used at an appropriate percentage. A small amount can enhance moisture and sensory performance without making the finished formulation excessively sticky.
Organic Vegetable Glycerin is a plant-derived, water-soluble humectant that helps support moisture retention in properly formulated skincare, hair care, cleansers, mists, lotions, and bath products. It is effective at low levels; excessive use may create a tacky or sticky finish. It does not solubilize essential oils or preserve water-based formulas.
100% plant-derived Vegetable Glycerin.
Clear, colorless, odorless, and naturally glossy.
Thick, smooth, syrup-like, and readily water-soluble.
Humectant and sensory-support ingredient for water-based formulas.
Incorporate glycerin into the water phase of a properly developed formulation. It may be used in a wide variety of rinse-off and leave-on products.
Add a small percentage to facial mists, toners, and body sprays to support a softer, more hydrated skin feel.
Incorporate into foaming cleansers, hand soaps, and body washes to help improve after-feel.
Use in the water phase of emulsions to support moisture and complement oils, butters, and other conditioning ingredients.
Add to properly formulated bath products, leave-in sprays, and water-based hair-care creations.
Vegetable Glycerin is easy to incorporate, but it performs only one role within a formulation. It attracts moisture; it does not replace a preservative, emulsifier, or essential-oil solubilizer.
Pure Intox formulation note: Glycerin works especially well when balanced with additional humectants, emollients, lightweight oils, or conditioning ingredients rather than used as the sole source of moisture support.
Important spray and mist note: Glycerin does not dissolve essential oils into water and does not prevent microbial growth. Room sprays, linen sprays, body mists, and facial sprays containing water require a suitable solubilization strategy and, when intended for storage, an appropriate preservation system.
These ranges are formulation starting points, not fixed rules. The ideal level depends on humidity, product type, other ingredients, intended skin feel, and the complete stability profile.
For external cosmetic and formulation use only.
Please note: Finished-product safety depends on the complete formula, percentages, pH, preservation, sanitation, packaging, storage, and intended use.
