How to Use the Kit

Begin by exploring individual essential oils on separate fragrance tester strips. Compare aromas and experiment with combinations before creating your final blend.

Measure and transfer compatible liquids with a pipette, blend with the glass stirring rod, guide finished formulas into containers with the funnel, and use the included amber bottles or personal inhalers for selected aromatic projects. Label bottles and caps and document percentages, dates, observations, and adjustments. Use tweezers for clean handling of small components such as inhaler wicks.

Using the Fragrance Tester Strips

Label and use a fresh strip for each oil or blend. Apply material only to the narrow end, allow the aroma to settle, smell without touching the scented area to your nose, keep comparison strips separated, and discard them after use.

Using the Amber Bottles & Personal Inhalers

Use the 5 mL amber bottles to hold properly formulated aromatic blends and label each bottle with the blend name, ingredients, date, or formula number.

The 1 oz amber glass dropper bottle is ideal for creating and storing small-batch carrier oil blends, facial oils, body oils, scalp oils, and properly diluted aromatherapy formulations. Label the bottle with the blend name, ingredients, date, or formula number.

For personal inhalers, apply the selected aromatic formulation to the inhaler wick according to an appropriate inhaler recipe, insert the wick using the tweezers, secure the inhaler components, and label the finished inhaler. Personal inhalers should not be shared between users.

Using the Bottle & Cap Labels

The kit includes eight oval bottle labels and eight round cap labels for blend names, dates, ingredients, or formula numbers. Apply them to clean, dry, oil-free surfaces for the best adhesion.

Tool Care & Good Formulation Practices

Wash reusable tools before first use and promptly after each project, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before storage. Work on a clean surface, measure by weight when accuracy matters, avoid returning unused material to its original container, label each formula, and keep written batch records. Pipettes are transfer tools and do not replace an accurate scale for formulation percentages.
