Aromatic Respiratory Chest Balm
Create a rich, aromatic chest and upper-body massage balm with shea butter, coconut oil, beeswax, and a crisp blend of eucalyptus, ravintsara, tea tree, and peppermint. The botanical aroma makes this a distinctive addition to an adult self-care ritual.
This is a cosmetic aromatherapy balm, not a treatment for congestion, respiratory illness, or breathing difficulties.

- 6 drops Tea Tree Essential OilUse fresh, properly stored oil.
- 4 drops Peppermint Essential OilUse only after checking dermal and inhalation precautions.
Formulation check: The carrier ingredients total 50 g before the essential oils are added. The 28 essential-oil drops do not establish an exact dilution because drop sizes vary. For a reproducible batch, weigh the essential oils and confirm the finished concentration and each oil's applicable dermal limit before use. The original approximately 2% claim is not verified.
How to Make the Balm
- Clean and thoroughly dry your utensils, heat-safe beaker, and balm container.
- Weigh the shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax into a heat-safe vessel.
- Gently melt in a water bath, stirring until fully liquid. Avoid overheating.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly while the mixture remains pourable.
- After checking the essential-oil safety and final dilution, add the measured aromatic blend and stir thoroughly.
- Pour into a clean, dry jar and allow to set completely before capping.
- Label with the preparation date and full ingredient list.
Texture note: The finished firmness depends on the type of coconut oil, the beeswax grade, and room temperature. Test a small batch before adjusting the formula.
How to Use
For adults only, after verifying the blend's topical suitability, apply a small amount to intact skin on the upper chest or shoulders and massage gently. Keep away from the face, nostrils, eyes, and mucous membranes. Wash hands after applying.
Why These Ingredients?
Shea butter lends richness; coconut oil adds glide; and beeswax gives the balm structure. Eucalyptus and ravintsara contribute fresh, camphoraceous aromatic notes, while tea tree adds an herbaceous character and peppermint supplies a cooling scent impression.
